I remember the that train journey in Rajdhani Express.I was going from New Delhi to Mumbai.
It was 21 May,2008, I was travelling for the very first time without my parents.
It was 11 in the night when d train reached Mumbai. Its a very bustling city with people always on the move, and that night as well there were many people .
But the platform on which I got down was very dimly lit.
I was going through a sense of confusion and nervousness, don't quite know what was the real feeling that I was going through.
First a completely new and strange city, nobody to receive me amd I, a young unescorted girl with absolutely no idea
Though I had heard that Mumbai is a very safe city but coming from Delhi I was a little scared.
I just started walking, and got out of the station, there were many people there and many taxis were standing.
Again,I felt a chill going down my spine as I started moving near the taxi.
I garnered some strenghth and started chanting some hymn,I don't usually do it but I was so scared that I could only remember God.
I looked at all the taxi drivers (which I admit was quite wierd on my part) and finally decided on one of them who lookewd dxecent enough.Actually this looking part was suggested to me by a freind who told me that whenever travelling alone in the night always take a taxi whose driver looks neuther too young nor too old,jst middle aged would be fyn.............still don't know the logic behind it.
So I sat in the Taxi and asked him to take me to Versova. He looked at me and said 'Is sheher mein naye ho shayad, yaha ke nahi lagte'.Who on the earth was he to ask me this sort of a question?
I got a little alarmed and without answering him, asked him to jst drive.
He dropped me at my destination in about two hours and charged me exactly what the fare was.
I got down and realised that I had been rude.
Also jst because there are a few bad people here and there, does not make the whole world bad.
This world is a great place to live in and we should stop looking at people with the same perspective.
I turned back,he was still dere.I smiled at him and said"Sahi kaha tumne, yaha se nahi hun main,Dilli se aayi hoon"and waved him.He smiled and waved me back .
It was a great exeperience and I'll always cherish that journey:the taxi journey which really changed the way I looked at people and this world.

Special Friend
SPECIAL FRIEND
Well,I still remember dat day when I spoke to him.He had added me a few days ago on one of the popular networking sites.Although I never accept friend requests from strangers, though I get many of them everyday.I accepted his request, because rather than saying something like 'Can we be friends' he said 'I know this is weird, don't know why I m doing this but just wanted to say hi'.I still remember this line.
Thereafter we started talking on gtalk and realised that we had a lot of things in common.I told him things I never thought that I'll tell anyone.
Today,I can proudly say dat he's the most special friend that I have.
Sometimes you need a special friend to just be dere.
We have really acted silly at times, specially when he has called me childish.Pulling each other legs all for fun:D
I really got a great frnd in him,Found an Elder brother in him,one I never had.
So many times,we have ended talking about the same person:)........a small world indeed.
Thanks a ton for all ur advise, all ur wishes and all interesting talks that we've had.
May the sparkles of our arguments continue forever,
May the noise of our loud laughter echo forever,
May the smoke of our enigma remain forever
And best of all......................
May our Friendship remain enlightened forever.
Thanks for everything.
"YES I DO KNOW YOU"
